Our Dogs ~ Where are they now?
Doug & Lori,
We are the family from NJ that had first pick of male pup from Cali/Maverick litter. I've attached some pictures of Kam to share (the1st picture is most recent he went on a trip to the Jersey shore). Kam has adjusted well to our family and home. He is a typical puppy and very energetic. The 5 hour ride home was good with him and therefore he loves to ride in the car settling in the back ready to take a nap.Loves to be around people and sleep in tiny spaces (which pretty soon he wouldn't be able to do). He weighs about 25 lbs now and is growing tall and lean. Just wanted you to know that he is doing well! Will keep you updated as he grows.

Just a quick note from our vacation to Michigan last week. Clayton (9) took Rider on a 5 mile boat trip every afternoon. We had no idea he possessed boating skills. We could not be happier with our family dog.He is doing great and he is going to return to South Dakota in October for hunting. I did not get a NR Waterfowl license, but I am looking forward to just working him and not worrying about ducks.
Take Care,
John & Shelly

When we took Molly, our golden retrevier, to Doug and Lori of Copper Creek Kennel, she was hard to handle and wouldn't listen or retrieve. After three months, I have a great hunting partner and my wife has a well behaved girl. Thank you Doug and Lori! Ed and Deb
Hi Doug and Lori,
Attached is a picture of Miller's High Prairie Rider. We are the folks who came up from Lock Haven several weeks back and took the green-collared black male from Jet and Queenie's litter.
This past week was my annual trip to North Dakota hunting upland birds and I decided to take Rider along for him to get his first taste of upland hunting. I gotta say, what a great puppy. I had assumed that he would come along for the morning hunt and probably be kenneled after that due to him being only a little over 4 months old but he really hung in there all day every day, enjoying every minute of it. He's a tough little guy. Monday and Tuesday were just fun walks for him, but come Wednesday he was paying attention to the older dogs along and becoming more independent while puttiing his nose on the ground. On Friday (10/23) Rider got his first flushes, relentlessly putting up 5 hen pheasants which were holed up in a ditch, they came up one at a time. Anyway, I wanted to pass this picture along to you folks and say thanks for your diligence/excellence in labrador breeding.
Sincerely,
Brandon
We purchased our little girl, "Annie", a yellow lab, in 2008 as a Christmas gift for our kids. Doug and Lori were very helpful with questions we had about purchasing a puppy. They did a great job training her. She listens very well and can't wait to get out there and hunt! Annie is also a great family dog. She loves playing with the kids. We
would like to say "Thank You" to Doug and Lori at Copper Creek Kennel for the wonderful addition to our family and for being such helpful and friendly people.
p.s. the kids want a black lab next ;)

I was looking for a lab pup to train with excellent hunting parents. Research led me to Copper Creek Kennel. I talked with Doug and he assured me that this litter would hunt. As an amateur dog trainer for 25 years of various breeds I know the breeding has to be there. My pup Smoke has proven to be the easiest dog I have ever worked. From 4 months he has been able to perform all basic Obedience Skills - sit, stay, heel, and down as well as retrieve to hand. At 5 months stop & sit at whistle, and come at double whistle. On water he rerieved full size duck floaters at any distance, worked in standing corn, and shot over and never gave up on one retrieve. And just a few weeks ago at 7 months on his first live hunt with strangers he made all 7 retrieves on wood ducks, 3 on fast water, 2 in thick cover on the creek bank, and 2 on still water. He never put a mark on them, 2 were still alive. That goes to show you excellent breeding will make an amateur trainer look good.
Thanks Doug and Lori.

Hi Doug & Lori,
Several years ago we were looking for a yellow lab and found Copper Creek. From the very first conversation
with Doug & Lori they were very informative and passionate about their labs. We decided to purchase a yellow puppy. Doug & Lori kept us updated with pictures of the puppies as they developed. We were very impressed on how well they cared for ALL of their puppies and adult labs. Doug met us 1/2 way to pick up Sadie. After having Sadie for 1 1/2 years we were so impressed with her temperament and disposition we decided to purchase a chocolate lab. We could have purchased a lab locally, but we drove the 6 hours to Copper Creek Kennels to bring home our chocolate lab Katie. They are 2 very loving, affectionalte and loyal family companions. Doug and Lori are a pleasure to work with, they genuinely care about the health and well being of their labs. Thank you for 2 excellent, intelligent labs.
Thanks again, Michelle & Doug Phillips - Franklinville, NJ (LABS RULE!!!)
